Phlegmonous erysipelas

Abstract: Watercolour medical illustration depicting phlegmonous (cellulitis) erysipelas. It has the alternative reference number 1190, 139 and P7A on the front. The artist's name is in the bottom left corner 'J. Connolly Del.t' so too is 'Case of Owen Martin'. The handwritten note on the back reads '139. Owen Martin. Phlegmonous erysipelas caused by lacerated wound over the [?]'. There is no Richmond Hospital Museum reference. However, an entry in P263/1 on pg. 11 nine lines from the top reads 'Phlegmonous erysipelas of hand & forearm. Owen Martin'. This illustration relates to P263/253, portfolio 3a.1.
