There was once a mason called Gobán Saor who built many mansions once he was away building and his wife expected an arrival and when it came it was a young daughter she knew that Gobán would be more pleased with a son. She searched far and near until she found an other woman with a son arrived. For a consideration she exchaned and when Gobán came home his wife presented him with a young son. He was very pleased with the son. When he grew older he had doubts any rate he told him to go and sell a sheep skin and told him the price to get for it. The son went for days and no one would buy the skin on those terms he came home but the Father sent him off again and told him not to come back until the skin was sold he would be sure to get some one to buy it. He went for days and at last he came to a house where there was a man and his wife at dinner in the kitchen

refused to buy it. They asked him to dinner. They called their daughter to give this stranger his dinner that he was after a long journey trying to sell a sheep skin the girl asked what price was it. He told her the price and she said I will buy it. She plucked the thool of the skin and then handed him two pence and the skin. He then returned home after the Gobán Saor sent him to invite that girl and her Father and Mother to dine with them on next Sunday which they did and after dinner they were all chatting in the kitchen. Gobán gook the girl into a room and took the lid of a large box where there was a lot of gold and Gobán asked her what would she do if she had it. She said it would be very well to have it but to keep putting more into it. This Gobán at one gifted and he new that this girl was his daughter — he got he got them married shortly afterwards. A great Lord in England sent for Gobán to build a castle that would exceed all other Castles. It would take years to build

and to tell him where he was, and that she would not let him out of it until Gubán came home. The King would Kill Gubán only for she who would not let his son go, because he did not want an other Castle to be build like the on he build for him.
