houses in Ballybunion. It was the worst flood that occurred with a long time

Severe weather.
At the beginning of August we had a very severe thunder storm. The people were terrified. About three o clock the clouds became black and the thunder claps were heard. The people said it was the worst thunder storm in living memory. It continued until about seven o clock and the people went to bed and said it was all over about four o clock it the morning it started again but it was not so severe as the evening before. It done a lot of harm a flash went through a wall of a house abovein door it knocked down a monument in Kill-kenny churchyard. Winds of hay were burned up below near Bally- Bunion. Stones were removed from a sandhill road wall. Roads were also damaged and motor-cars and other
