Lios na Droighnighe

Bhí fear na chómhnuidhe i gCluana fado. Tadgh Ó Ríadaigh ab ainm dó. Bhí sé ag gábhail thar lios na Droignighe oidche.

Tá loch uisce ar an dtaoibh soir den loch san. Chualaidh Tadgh fothram san uisce. D’fhéach sé isteach ann agus chonnaic sé splinnc soluis agus chonnaic sé leis mar a bheadh pluaisín ar thaoibh amhaín den loch.

Tháinig frog mór as an bpluais sin agus bhí coinneall ar lasadh idir lapaibh aige. Tá carraig mhór i lár a’ locha agus tá a ceann ós cionn an uisge.

Nuair a shrois an seana frog an charraig sin chuir sé

an solas na sheasaimh ar a bárr.

Chuaidh sé isteach sa phluaisín arís agus nuair a bhí se ag teacht amach arís do lean trí froganna eile é.

Bhí frog amháin ann agus bhí féasóg ana fhada air. Rug na froganna eile air ..... agus chuireadar na shuidhe ar an gcarraig é in aice an tsoluis.

Nuair a bhí an méid sin déanta acu fuair siad báisín uisce agus galamhnach agus chuireadar capadh maith den galamhnaigh ar a leicnibh agus thosnaigh siad á bheárradh.

Nuair a bhí sé bearrtha acu do leabhair Tadhg leo. Bhí ag féachaint  chuile corruighe a dhein siad ó thuis go deire más fíor agus do taithnigh an

obair sleachtmhar a dhein siad cómh maith san leis gur dubhairt sé "Muise m'anam is maith".

Ní túisge is a bhí an meid sin ráidhte ag Tadhg ná múcadh an solus agus d'imigh na froganna go léir as radharc ag fágadh Tadhg bocht na aonair ar thaoibh a' locha agus níor chuala sé scéal uatha ó shoin.
