Signs of Snow and Frost [duchas:4693013]
Signs of Snow and Frost 1. If the cat lies in the sun in November there will be snow before December. 2. When the birds sing before Candlemas snow is sure to come before March is out. 3. If the leaves remain on the trees after St. Martin's Day it is a sign of both snow and frost. 4. When haws are very plentiful in October it is a sign of snow. 5. Blackbirds and robins are seen hopping around the doors.
