Seo mar dúbhairt sé nuair a tháibig sé abhaile ón Néidín is bhí   na Gárdaí ar a thóir toisig eadhaighe an phoor house a bheith air.

Ag teacht um feachaint le muigín bainneg
Nó a fhiafruighe „Conas Tán tú „

Is ar éigin bhí ionnam eiriughadh um sheasamh
Nó ar fógnamh dul thar taírsigh
Nuair a fuaireas aon tost do ghluaiseas abhaile
Agus tógadar suas im bhrágha mé

Fuaireas chómhairle ó fhear abhaile
Gurbh é Mícheal Óg a Guardian
