A 98 Story

My great-great-grand uncle John Doyle of Ballyellis was coming from Ballygullen during the rebellion of 1798. When crossing the main road near Craan Cottage he met a yeoman named Edge. The yoeman said Pass on and I will do the same". This was agreed by each of them. When they passed Doyle turned quickly and took aim at the yoeman but the gun did not go off and Edge fired and shot him.
