Hidden Treasure [duchas:4874145]
It is said that a pot of gold is hidden near the Cabhail Mhor and bees minding it. If a person got a plough and two white horses, and ploughed the place at the Consecration of the Mass, he would find the gold. A man heard of the pot of gold being hidden. He got a plough and two white horses and ploughed the place a few minutes before the Consecration of the mass. When he was coming near the gold he saw a cock standing on a stone which prevented him ploughing anymore. Collected by: - Máire Ní Choisgle, Coad Told by: - John Costello (her father) (58 years)
