Tá go leor scéalta ag bainnt le Fionn agus na Fianna. Nuair a bhí Fionn óg matbhuigheadh a athar agus ar fhaitchíos go marbhóchaidhe é féin cuireadh i bhfolach é ins na sléibhte. Annsin chuaidh sé ina chomhnuidhe le draoi. Chuala an draoi go raibh iasg draoidheachta i n-abhainn na Bóinne. La rug an draoi ar an iasg agus thug sé do fhionn é le na róstadh. Nuair a bhí sé dhá róstadh leag sé a ordóg ar an iasg agus dóigheadh an ordóg ina bhéal do bhlas sé an t-iasg agus bhí fhios aige ar chuile rud agus sin é an chaoi a bhfuair Fionn an teolas mór a bhí aige
