Dá bhfaighinn-se pealóite, caisleán is ór bfearr liom sa bocht ar taobh sléibhte
Le cailín deas crúidhte na mbó.
Mara bhfuil sé ‘mo chóir a bheith i n-aonfeacht leis an spéir-bhean do-dhilís seo fós.
Is daorsacht do bhrónach mo sgéal-sa gan tréibheacht gan éifeacht gan treor.
Ní bheidh suaimhneas i mo chroidhe nó i m-intinn ná suaimhneas orm oidhche nó ló
