Games [duchas:4998978]

The following are the games we play at home and at school.
Pillar-the-Cap, Hunt-the-Fox, Hide-and-Seek, Tig, Rounders, French Tig, Cat, Taw-in-the-hole, Marbles, Four-corner-fool, Colours, Cricket, Blind-Boobey, All-the-Robbers.
Any number of people can play Pillar-the-Cap. A ball is needed and each member must have a cap. The caps are laid in a line by a wall with the peaks resting against the wall. A line is then drawn parallel with the row of caps, about three feet from them. The player who owns the first cap in the row takes the ball and throws it so as to roll into any of caps. He stands at the line when he is about to throw the ball. He gets three trys. If he rolls the ball into a player's cap, that player (picks) picks up the ball, and throws it at the runners. They run when they see the ball has rolled into a cap. If

he hits anyone with the ball, a small stone is put in the cap of the person whom he hits. If he fails to hit him a stone is put in the thrower's cap. The game continues like this each member rolling the ball at the caps as his turn comes. When a player gets six stones in his cap, he is out of the game and takes up his cap. (Each) Each player picks up his cap according as he gets six stones in it, until one person is left who has not six. He is the winner.
