Superstitions 1 If you rob a swallows nest your cow will milk blood for one year. 2 If you tie a special piece of wood around a babys neck when it is born the fairies wont take it away. 3 If two pigeons are seen fighting it is a sign that somebody will die. 4 If you see a black cat crossing the road you are lucky. 5 If you see a white cat you will be unlucky. 6 If you meet a red-haired person you will be unlucky. 7 If you break a looking glass you will have bad-luck for seven years. 8 If you see a black-horse walking across the road you will be unlucky. 9 If you send salt to the bog you are not to bring it back again. 10 If you sea see a magpie going away from you your bad luck is going away. 11 If you see a magpie coming towards you your bad luck is coming. 12 If you see one magpie you will be unlucky.
