Two for good luck
Three for a wedding
Four for a wake
Five for silver
Six for gold
Seven for a secret that never shall be told.

If a person by the name of Walsh gets married to a person by the name of English that person has the cure of the wildfire.

If you go astray you should turn your coat inside out.

If you turn your coat inside out when you see a new moon you will have a new coat again the next new moon.
