Poets [duchas:4621410]

My father told me that the local poet he knew of was Martin Kelly of Menlough.
This man was born in Menloughbeg a village in the parish of Menlough.
The song he composed was the Grallagh Ball. He lived until he was about 70 or 80 years of age and was buried in the grave-yard of Menlough.
He was a very educated man and he wrote this song in English. This Mr. Kelly was no relation at all to Mr T.J. Kelly who was also a local poet.
