Cruadhan. (a) About fifty years ago John Wall of Boolahalla was drowned while drawing sand for his employer. He was drowned in the river Nire a quarter of a mile from Ballymakee. No attempts were made to save him. As he was crossing the river for sand the car overturned into a big hole and he was overturned into a big hole and he was drowned when his employer came along. (b) Also Michael McGrath who was a native of Ardpardon was drowned opposite Mr Delany's of Ballymakee. Attempts were made to save his life but the attempts were of no avail. (c) About twenty years ago there was a great thunderstorm around here. There was a huge flood at the old river in Ballymakee after the storm. One day as the creamery float was coming out

from Clonmel with a pair of horses and churns of milk and boxes of butter, the man tried to make the horses cross the flood but the horses were swept away in the flood. A great crowd gathered around rapidely and saved the man and one of the horses. Some of the boxes of butter were found in Mollough after.
