Storms [duchas:4386662]
Even in our own memory there has been very heavy snow-storms, but the old people tell us that in the year 1895, there was a snow-storm which lasted for seven weeks. in February 1933 there was one which blocked the roads for two weeks. In June 1895 the remains of the snow-storm still lay thick in the glens. It was stated that the steam tram on the Blessington road would burst through any snow, but at that particular time it could not travel for a week.
