As round as an apple as plump as a ball can climb the church over tseeple and all.  Ans.  The Sun

What goes away between two woods and comes back between two waters.  Ans.  A man fetching water in pails

Patch upon patch without any stitches, riddle me that and I will buy you a pair of breeches.  Ans.  A cabbage

Long legs short thighs little head and no eyes.  Ans.  A tongs

Headed like a thimble tailed like a rat you may guess for ever but you wouldn't guess that.  Ans.  A Pipe

Old Mother Twitchet had but one eye and a long tail she let fly and every time she went out in a gap she left a bit of her tail in a trap.  Ans.  A Woman Stitching

Ink, Ank, under a bank ten drawing four.  Ans.  Milking a cow

I have a little man out in the field when I pull his leg his nose begins to bleed.
Ans.  A Pump

What has a head and no face.  
Ans. A Match

Which part of the cow crosses the road first.
Ans.  Her Breadth

As I went out in a gap I met my uncle Tom he cut my neck and sucked my blood and left me lying easy.
Ans.  A Weasel killing a Rabbit.

As round as an apple as deep as a cup the king and his horses couldn't pull it up.
Ans.  A Well

I went into a castle in the castle there was a room.  In the room there was a cup.  In the cup there was a sup that every one must taste.
Ans. Death

Why does a donkey eat a thistle. because he is an ass (sic)

Fire in the wood and no smoke.  
Ans. Lightning
