Riddles Heard Locally [duchas:5005148]

Riddles heard locally

I washed my face with water
That never rained or run
And I dried it with the towel
That was never wove or spun.

Answer: May dew and the sun

Little white bird featherless
Flew away from Paradise
Lit on castle wall
Little Lady Landless
Picked her up handless
Swallowed her mouthless
And away went all.

Ans: The Snow.

Black Jack leaped over the ditch
Full of bones and none of his own.

Ans: Boot and Man's Foot.

Riddles Heard Locally [duchas:5005149]

Riddle-me-randy-nee
My father gave me seed to grow
The seed was black, the ground was white
Riddle me that again tomorrow night.

Ans: Writing with ink on paper.
