Folklore - Local Roads [duchas:4769724]

Folklore
Local roads
There is a road leading from the main road to Carlow to New-town. It is called the back road. There is a nother leading from Monavea to Ardateggle and is called the back road. The road is so called because it is cut through a bog.
There is a road leading from Tolerton to Carlow and it is called the "pike road". There is another leading from Mayo to the pike road. This is called the New Line. It is so called because it has been made recently.
These local roads were told to me by Alice Rowan
