5d II Told by Ned Dooley Rathgibbon. There is a road which leads from the Rath road to Cullawn bog and passes by Killyon School. On the side of this road below the school there is a stone not very big. It is said that a man was passing by this stone when he heard noise like a goose cackling. On comping nearer the stone he saw a white gander standing on it cackling. This gander is supposed to be guaring money which is under this stone and ever since it is called the "Ganderstone".
