Piseóga Ime

Bhí sean-cailleach i gCarraig an Ime fadó go mbíodh de cáil uirthi go bhféadfadh sí ím na gcómharsain do goid tré phiseóga drabhlaidheachta a bhíodh ar siúbhal aici nuair a bhead cuigeann dhá dhéanamh ag duine éigin agus cuigeann dá dhéanamh ag an am céadhna. Agus an rann so a bhíodh sí a rádh.

“Rath Dé ar an gcuigeann seo
  Sop agus ribe innti.
  Si ceirtlíní ime uirthe.
  Im an bhaile seo thoir.
  Im an bhaile seo thíar.
Im Cháit is Shíghle, Máire is Bríghide
  I gcóir an cíosa.
  An t-soithig a líonadh
  Is im a’ tsagairt féin
Cé gur deacair liom é iarraidh
Ach mar sin féin tagadh sé.
Come butter, come butter, come butter.
