1. Bhí sean bhean shiar igConamara fadó agus bhí trúir mach aice agus nuair a théighidís amach ag iascach, d'éirigheadh an tsean-bhean suas agus tuibharfaidh sí sluaisid teine dhearg lei agus chaitheadh sí an bóithrín in a ndiadih e agis déaradh sí "thar a gceann agus thar a gcosa gach droch rud" sin ag ceapadh nach rachaidh na daoine maithe in aice leo.

2. An bhean ceádhna freisin, rinne sí rud eile le an t-án pirsreóga. Chuaidh a truír mac amach ag iascach lá amháin. Bhí siad imthíghthe dhá lá agus nuair nach bhfaca sí ag teacht iad thosuigh ag ceapadh go raibh rud éicint suas. Fuiar sí báisín uisce agus chuir sí trí chupán ins an mbáisín agus tug sí ainm go gach ceann acú
