Albert Nilsson Eskeröd was on the staff of the Folklore and Folklife Department in the University of Lund in Sweden. He came to Ireland in 1935 and during his visit he took hundreds of photographs, for the most part in the west and south-east of Ireland. A copy of this valuable collection is now in the Department of Irish Folklore.
