Chanticleer - UCD Digital Library

Abstract: Fallon drew inspiration from nature and particularly wild life. The Chanticleer or cockerel is mentioned in Chaucer's CanterburyTales as the finest of its breed and the inherent pride of the bird is reflected in Fallon's use of material.
