Cinn-fhearainn =       An paiste glas a fágtar gan treabhadh i mbun is i mbárr guirt. Is air sin a chasann na capaill.

An Ghruadh  =    An fód fé na gcuirtear an scioltán nuair a cuirtear an síol.

Scúmhachán =  An taobh amuigh do gheataire.

Buachas  =  An taobh istigh do gheataire.

Hearra =  An rud bán a bhíonn 'á tarrac ina ndiaidh ag siongán.
Seanfhocal i dtaobh gaduidhe iseadh: Goidfeadh sé an hearra ó'n siongán. 

Fochais  =  Cloch a bheadh sa bhfarraige ach a bheadh de ghnáth clúdaithe.
Cómhairle-- "Fan amach ó'n bhfochais.

Fochall =  An croidhe buidhe a bhíonn istigh i bprátaí áirithe.

Speirín  =  Bun an gheataire. An buatais an bun-fáis a bhíonn shíos fé'n speirín.
Seanfhocal : D'á laighead speirín bíonn buatais air.
