Gleann na gCapall

Tá Gleann mór fairsing i lár Sliabh Mangartan is Gleann na gCapall a glaodtar air.  Sé an fáth a tugadh am t-ainm sin air ná go mbíodh féaracht an ghleanna mar choimíneach idir feirmeóirí beaga a bhí in a gcomhnaidhe ag bun an chnuic.  Comeaidídís a gcuid gcapall ag féaracht ann in rith míosa an t-samhraidh.  In san gleann gcéadna tá carraig mhór fé leith ar a nglaodtar fáill Tomáis Ua Loingsig mar thuit sé anuas é agus marbhuighead é.  In san nGleann ceadna tá fothrach de sean tig in ar cómhnuig Clann Ua Murchada.  Dí stíl acu agus an t-slighe bheatha do bhí aca ná ag deanamh poitín.
San gleann ceadna tá carraig an mór ar a nglaodtar An Caisleán.  Tá pluais fén gcarraig sin idtaobh fice troig timcheall mar ar cómhnuuig fear darbh ainm Ciarraighe Ua Murcada
