Naomh Mochomoch a chuir mainistir an ar bhun san mbliadhain 550. Thug sé an mainistir seo do Naomh Caomhan - dearbhráthair do Naomh Caomhighín ó Gleann Dá Loch. Níl aon trácht ar Eanach Truim ó aimsir Naoimh Caomhain.

Do lean na manaigh in a gcómhnuidhe ann go dtí dara haois déág. Bain na sagairt paróiste  uatha é annsan.

Fothracha atá ann ó 1832. Tá cill Protostúnach ann anois. Níl fágtha anois de'n seana-mhainistir ach seomra chloch. In san reilig ag dul leis an tseana-mhainistir atá muinntir Dubhsláinghe, muinntir Oyticín agus muinntir Cináin curtha.

Deir na sean daoine gurab é an áit in  a bhfuil muinntir Antoine curtha seomra an naoimh fhéin; ach de réir an Dr. Mac Alastair is gach rud a' baint leis an seachtmhadh aois déag gach rud  atá le fághail in Eanach-Truim.

Tá sgéal ag dul le Eanach Truim. Lá brothallach chuaidh Naomh Coamhan  go dtí an tobar. Tar eis deoch a dhóladh, thuit a codladh air.
'S a chodladh dó, goideadh a chuid  bhróg. Nuair a d'eirigh sé bhí fearg mhór air agus chuir sé a mhallacht ar an áit, agus seo é:-


"Go raibh clann in imreas i gcómhnuidhe in Eanach-Truim"
