A Sad Accident [duchas:4911190]
A Sad Accident About twenty years ago there lived a man by the name of Ned Donovan in Newtown-Sandes Co. Kerry, four miles or so from my school. He was sleeping one night in bed and awaking he heard the rafters cracking and he got up. He was going out the door when the house fell down on him and he was killed. William Kiely Glenlappa, Newtownsandes, Co. Kerry (Told me by my father). 11/1/39 A Prayer God bless Friday, Good Friday too; the day Our Saviour suffered too; from His Heart to His Hand His Precious Blood did flow; and His tender mother standing by, with a weighty heart and a heavy sigh. W. Kiely Aughrim, Newtownsandes CO. Kerry. (Given by my mother) 11.29.39
