Murphy entitled The Famine (1845-1880), and he says the information is in two sections, section one is for south Armagh and section two was collected for the Mournes, south Down.

Information refers to the district South of Nagles Mountains: Hyde Estate, Hudson Estate and Victor Roche's Estate in County Cork. Includes an account by John O'Reilly (farmer, age 80, Glenville) as told by his father John O'Reilly of Tourgarriffe and hand-drawn maps of famine relief schemes in the Glenville area.
