Note
Pamphlet containing a report written by a deputation of Cleveland miners, concerning the state of Ireland and the conditions in which her people must endure. The deputation concludes that 'the Irish people have just cause to complain...they are a down-trodden people...It is impossible for them to be prosperous or happy under such monstrous land laws'. They state that no solution to the problem can be found without the passing of 'a real and genuine Land Reform Bill'. They further add that they would suggest that 'all Irishmen should join the Land League, both in Ireland and in England'.
