Scope and Content
The 100 photographs presented here constitute a selection from the School of Art History's slide collection devoted to Irish architecture. Originally produced by staff members in response to pedagogical needs, this sub-set focuses on the civic and ecclesiastical architecture of eighteenth-century Dublin, including the former Parliament House at College Green, the Four Courts and Custom House, St George, Hardwicke Place, and St Catherine, Mary Street. Photographed between 1978-2005, the images also document the changing nature of historic conservation and the evolving built environment.
