Abstract: A selection of data from the Irish Dialect Archive (Cartlann na gCanúintí) Card Collection of the School of Irish, Celtic Studies, Irish Folklore and Linguistics at UCD.
One database with three tables
(text/csv)
(text/xml)
Scope and Content
Please note that some of the objects in this collection are very large and may require extra time to download. It is strongly recomended that files be saved to the user's local system rather than attempting to open them from a web browser.
Note
Tables are related through the "CartlannID" values. Data is held in both XML format and comma delimited text files (CSV). Character encoding is Unicode (UTF-8); items must be viewed as such in order to correctly display International Phonetic Alphabet symbols.
The database is arranged in three tables: a table containing the main entry, a table containing usage examples (relating to the main entry) and a table containing words associated with the main entry.
