The old mother crow was letting off one of her young brood when fully fledged and giving him some advice.

"Remember" says she, "if you see a garsún stoop for a stone you are to fly away at once."

But mother, says the young crow
What shall I do if he has the stone in his pocket?"

"Be off with you, says she, YOU'RE fit for the road."
