Old Customs [duchas:4621315]
There are not as many customs nowadays as there were long ago. My father told me a few, some time ago. (1) If a person was going to a fair and met a red haired woman, he would turn back for he would have bad luck. (2) If a person was churning and another person came in and did not help with it, going of him they used to say, he was bringing the butter. (3) If a person came in one door and went out the other, the people used to say, he was taking the luck with him.
