A collection of material relating to Kevin Barry, who was executed for his part in the killing of three British soldiers in 1920. The collection includes material associated with his days at Belvedere College, his year as a medical student in UCD, and his brief time in custody at Mountjoy Prison before execution. The majority of the collection is composed of material gathered by Kathy Barry Maloney, Barry's sister, after his death.

This collection consists largely of letters from Roger Casement to Captain Hans Boehm, during Casement's stay in Germany in 1915, as well as some associated material (photographs, medals) relating to his first contact with the German authorities in November and December 1914 and the formation of the Irish Brigade in 1915.

A collection of British documents and letters relating to 1916 which form a file within the Papers of Éamon de Valera. The documents include intelligence reports, despatches, and correspondence between Irish Command, Home Forces, the War Office, M.I.5.G., and the Royal Irish Constabulary. The documents cover the immediate aftermath of the 1916 Rising, the executions of the leaders, and the general political situation in Ireland at the time.

Correspondence relating to O'Curry's work with the Ordnance Survey and the Royal Irish Academy and general correspondence on antiquarian, genealogical, linguistic and literary matters; correspondence as Professor of Archaeology and Ancient Irish History in the Catholic University, mainly concerning his academic and research interests; some personal correspondence, and personal financial and family documents.

Textual and visual material consisting mainly of notes, drawings and plans, documenting early Christian Irish art, its inspiration and the extent of its influence in Europe, in areas including architecture, sculpture, manuscripts, metalwork, ivory and textiles.

Letters from correspondents primarily in the British Isles, but also from North America and the Middle East, encompassing a wide range of antiquarian concerns including archaeological finds, anatomy, sigillography, topography, numismatics, and Frazer's collection of autographs and prints.

This selection of press images provides a sample of the photographic archive of Frank Aiken throughout his lengthy political career. These important images chronicle the life of a key figure in twentieth century Irish political history.

The Irish Virtual Research Library and Archive (IVRLA) is a digitisation project launched in UCD in January 2005. The project was conceived as a means to increase and facilitate access to UCD’s cultural heritage repositories through the adoption of digitisation technologies.

Collection of over 500 images, mostly single photographs but also some newspaper cuttings and a commercial photo album. The largest parts of the collection relate to the political and academic careers of Eoin MacNeill and his son-in-law Michael Tierney, with a strong emphasis on important events at University College, Dublin between 1943 and 1965, such as presentations, conferrals, openings, and ceremonies to mark developments on the new campus at Belfield. Smaller series of photographs contain private family shots.
