Seán ÓhEinirí is a native Irish speaker and a gifted traditional storyteller. Proinnsias de Búrca collected from him in the days of the Commission and in more recent years, a great deal of material has been collected from him by Dr. Séamas Ó Catháin, archivist in the Department of Irish Folklore. A selection of this material has been published in Scéalta Chois Cladaigh (Baile Átha Cliath, 1983), which consist of a cassette-tape of Seán Ó hEinirí telling his own stories, with an accompanying booklet.
