Prisoners book 1 : 1905-07

Abstract: This volume, numbered 1, of the Dublin Metropolitan Police prisoners books details arrests dating from 1st April 1905 to 1st January 1908. The record for each arrest includes the name, age, address, occupation, alleged offence and, in most cases, the outcome of the case for those arrested. The volume also contains a name index of prisoners with references to the pages containing details of the charge.

Condition: The cover is in poor condition. The pages have dirt around the edges and some curled corners but are otherwise in good condition.
Physical description: The pages numbered 213 to 241 are blank and the pages numbered 232 to 240 appear to have been removed.
Numbering/sequence
The arrest records are recorded across two pages. Each double page spread is printed with a number (from 1 to 241) on the right hand page. The printed number on page 241 had been crossed out and the number 239 has been written by hand. The index pages are unnumbered but are arranged alphabetically.
