The artist's name is in the bottom right corner 'J. Connolly' and in the bottom left corner 'Case of Js Bowen aet 18'. The handwritten note on the back reads 'C.e.42. This drawing taken after the boy's death shows the eruption of glanders, the pustules on him in different stages'.
