Abstract: Part of the Fitzwilliam (now Pembroke) estate instigated by 6th Viscount Fitzwilliam from 1752. Mount Street Upper laid out c1789, but principally built between 1829-31. The houses here step back forming a type of crude crescent-shaped plan.
