An Máirnéalach Loinge.
   A Mhairnéalach luinge, nár fheicir-se Dia
Mar do dheinis me a mhealladh nuair a bhíosa gan chéill,
Mar do shiúbhalóchainn an talamh le taithneamh id dhiaidh,
Is teighire sa donas mar an bhfuileann tú riamh.
                      2.
   Is maírnealach luinge me a siúbhlaig a lán (?),
Is deir siad gur cleasaidhe tú a mheallas mná,
Níor stracas riamh a gclócaí is níor leónas a lámha,
A's níor luigheas ar leabhaidh ach an t-aon oidhche amháin.
                     3.
   Is aoibhinn is is aéirach don té a bhíonn ag ól,
Ní bhíonn mairg sa tsaoghal air ná aon nídh dá shórt,
Bíonn a chapaill aige go gléasta ar thaobh cnuich lá ceóid,
Agus rún searc a chléibh is í ag feachaint in a dheóidh.
