Abstract: Photograph of a badly burned body in a coffin. The coffin, and lid, are being propped up towards the photographer by a group of men; the shroud has been pulled back from the upper half of the body and the legs are crudely tied together with a strap. Possibly, one of the Loughnan brothers (I.R.A.members), arrested by R.I.C. in November 1920 and found burned and mutilated between Kinvara and Ardrahan early in December 1920.
