Travelling Folk [duchas:4388566]

Around the harvest fair travelers are very common in Ballyshannon. They mostly camp at the end of the Mall or in the fair green. 
Some of them live in caravans or covered wagons; others just sleep under the cart.
There is one band who make tiny straw tables and baskets.

and sell them round the town. they come every year in May or June.
There us a band who makes artificial flowers. They usually come round in Septemper.
There is an old woman called Mrs Tullavra who goes the town on Saturdays selling collar studs. 
There is a very famous character called Bob Devett who goes from house to house selling small things.
He is a big man, with a fierce face, he was once well off and was going to be a priest, but he studied too much and got brain fever. He then took to the roads and is after

to be found scolding in the street. He is always talking about priests and if anyone annoyed him he would say he was going to tell the priests.
