Má thagann cearc insteach san dteach agus tráithnín ar a ruball gheobhaidh duine éicínt bás.
Ní cheart uibheacha a chur faoi gé óg.
Níl sé sona gairm an choiligh a chloisteáil tar éis sé a chluig sa tráthnóna.
Bíonn na sicíní a thagas amach i mí Mheithimh lag  agus ní  cheart uibheacha a chur i mí Mheithimh.
Ní cheart  blaosg uibhe a chur san dteine mar ní bheirfidh na h-éanacha uibheacha feasta.
Is ceart cearc a ghlaodhann ar nós coiligh a mharbhadh.
Dúisigheann na rudaí seo an diabhail:- bean ag feadghail
Cearc ag grágghail.
Nuair a cídhtear snag breac deirtear 
Aon do'n mhí-ádh
Dó do'n ádh
Trí do'n chrádh
Cúig do'n airgead
Sé do'n ór 
Seacht do'n rún faoi chlúid go deó.
Nuair a bhíos dhá chirc ag troid tiocfaidh sráinséar.
Nuair a fheictear dhá coileach ag troid pósfar duine.
Nuair a bhíos na cearca ag sgriobadh faoi sgeich tá fearthainn ag teacht.
