Another Set of Cures [duchas:4561958]

1. A cure for a boil is to get a frog and boil it down in water, and when it is dead to take up the water and let it get cold, and then to wash the boil with the water, and he will never again get a boil.
2. Cure for a sore finger, get a dog to give it a lick.
3. To take out a thorn, get a foxes' tongue and rub it of the finger
4. Cure for a toothache, is to put a bit of soap down in your tooth, but not to swallow any spit. 
5. Another cure for a toothache is to put the leg of a frog down in your tooth, but it is no harm to swallow the spit as it only gives a person good breath.

6. The cure for a headache is to tie a piece of woolen thread round your head. 
7. Another cure for a headache is to snuff up the teapot when it is boiled, and then to drink a cup of hot tea without any food immediately after.
8. The cure for a sore foot is to get soot, soap and fine sugar and mix them together, and put them on a piece of paper and leave it against the foot. 
9. Cure for a sore eye is to was it in cold black tea
10. Cure for a whittle is to get a white bandage and put a snail into it, and tie it round the finger.
11. For a swelled jaw, rub the first spit you throw out in the morning of it. 
12. Cure for a toothache is to take three smokes of a pipe
