When a child's first tooth appears over the gum a piece of silver is laid on it and this gives the child a 'silver tongue'.

Similarly a piece of gold for a 'gold tongue' this is supposed to make the child an eloquent speaker.

On the first monday of the new year each child will get a silver coin, he will be counting money for the coming year
