Old Customs [duchas:4350853]

When a person would die the people would bring the corpse to the church on the day after the person;s death. There was a custom of upseting all the chairs and tables in the house after the removal of the remains to the church.
If a person met a funeral on a road it would not be right to continue on walking, and not bother with the funeral at all. The person should turn back, and walk a short distance with the funeral.
