The Famine [duchas:4906244]

Tom Mannix's, Clonmeen, Banteer Indian Meal used be made into stirabout and distributed to the people - a certain quantity to each family.

After the Famine it was criminal to steal sheep and those convicted of doing so were sent to Van Diemen's Land.
