In the year 1879 the Empress of Austria was hunting in this country. One day she lost her hankerchief. Mr Michael Kennedy was riding near her he picked it up and handed it to her. She asked him who he was. 
In a short time  a parcel arrived it was the hankerchief in a velvet frame with the following

The Empress of Austria's hankerchief found in the hunting field by Michael Kennedy Esq and afterwards returned to him by her majesty as a souvenir of her visit to Ireland in 1879.
