Abstract: Watercolour medical illustration depicting an ulcer in a man. It has the alternative reference number 1943, P9 and 320 on the front. The Richmond Hospital Museum reference is D.c. which refers to ulcers. The handwritten note in the top right corner but has been cut off. The remainder of it reads 'J. Conno[]'. The handwritten note in the bottom left corner reads 'Carcinoma' and in the right 'John Hanlon aet 29'. The handwritten note on the back reads 'Cancerous ulceration of the glands in the digastric space. The patient had not had cancer of the lip, & was of much younger age than that at which cancer usually occurs. See [?] 311'. The name 'Jn Hanlon 29' is written sideways in the middle of the back of the illustration.
