Abstract: Watercolour medical illustration depicting the left eye socket missing in a woman. It has the alternative reference number 1541, P9 and 162 on the front. There is no Richmond Hospital Museum reference. The handwritten note on the back reads 'Mr Adam's case. Matthews – old [?] House of Industry. A [?] drawing exhibits the [?] an increased degree. She suffered & ex[?] degree of pain which was only palliated by opiates – her skull is preserved showing the devastation the disease had [?] produced'.
